Google、Android端末でのBluetoothペアリングを高速化する「Fast Pair」

米Googleは10月31日(現地時間)、Android端末とBluetoothアクセサリーのペアリングを高速化する新機能「Fast Pair」を発表した。
「Android 6.0 Marshmallow」以降+「Google Playサービス」の11.7以降搭載の端末で利用できる。
ただし、Bluetoothアクセサリ側も対応する必要があり、発表時点で対応するのは
「Google Pixel Buds」(日本未発売)とデンマークLibratoneの「Q Adapt On-Ear」のみ。
間もなく米Plantronicsの「Voyager 8200」シリーズも対応するという。
Googleの最新オリジナル端末「Pixel 2」シリーズにはヘッドフォンジャックがなく、
Bluetoothイヤフォンを使うのが基本になっている。
GoogleはBluetoothアクセサリーメーカーに対し、製品のFast Pairサポートを呼び掛けている。
