That is correct. You can install patches during your trial period.

If you're not seeing an installed patch collection in your preset browser, please close your DAW, uninstall the patches via Roland Cloud Manger, then install them again with your DAW closed.
Once you open your DAW and add the plugin to a track again, you should see that your patches have now shown up in the preset browser.

If you install patches with your DAW open, it can cause the patch installations to fail, so please make sure to do the installations with your DAW closed in the future.
