Going to や Traveling to は「〜へ移動中」みたいなのが一番自然なんだろうけど、
語順が変えられないのでやむなく「行き先」とした憶えが。移動中なのは
見ていてわかるということで。

Going (Driving, Traveling) home 帰宅中
Going (Driving, Traveling) to work 出勤中
Going (Driving, Traveling) to school 登校中
Leaving the city 市外へ移動中
Driving out of the city 市外へ移動中
Traveling out of the city 市外へ移動中
Confused 迷子
かな？

Returing to facility は逆に画一的に「施設へ帰っています」が変？
貨物トラック「工場へ帰還中」
ゴミ収集車「埋め立て地／焼却場へ帰還中」
はどうだろう。あと、
Returning to station「警察署へ帰還中」「消防署へ帰還中」
Returning to hospital「病院へ帰還中」
Transporting a patient for treatment「患者を救急搬送中」

それと、
Flying around はカモメのステータス、
Wondering around, Following Waiting は犬とか動物のステータスなので、
「〜中」は却って不自然では？
